Hotel Edinburgh Review

After going to London last year, I had decided that we would also visit Edinburgh this time around. Although my wife wished to do some more shopping there but I had booked a weekend at the Howard hotel in Edinburgh. The place is quite cozy and intimate which was exactly what we required from the stay. Moreover, my wife also got her wish as it was close to the shopping streets. The best thing was the butler service. Although it fit the whole Scottish culture but it was a pleasant surprise to see a butler iron the clothes and even provide the room service. The dining room was cramped but the food was good enough to make up for it. The dining room is perfect for offseason dinners but the hotel’s drawing room was also quite well built.

Cheap Hotel Edinburgh

As their name suggests, the cheap hotels are for tourists who don’t have much financial options or backpackers who have just taken few thousand dollars before taking off to roam the whole of Europe. However, the cheap hotel Edinburgh options don’t come with that notoriety of being cheap in prices, services, staff and cleanliness. The city of Edinburgh is popular for its medieval architecture and rugged setting which is reflected in the hotels that stand here. However, the cheap hotel options might not offer much of a view or luxury but these fulfill the basic need to stay in a good clean place. Some examples of cheap hotels in Edinburgh include Jurys Inn, The Grassmarket, Parliament House, Smart City hostel etc.

The city was voted online as one of the most desirable destinations to live in Europe and the comfort experienced even in cheap hotels is worth that praise. The tourist should know that cheap hotels don’t come with banquet halls and free internet but they do provide good food and service. If the tourist can cough up at least fifty dollars to seventy dollars a night then they can experience a nice service at some of the quality three star hotels. Even though they are cheap hotels, some of them are situated close to the popular attractions such as the Grassmarket is located at just a two minute walk from the Royal Mile.

Edinburgh is surely a city to visit and if it can be done at such low prices then this options shouldn’t be avoided. These hotels also have paid laundry services and dry cleaning. Moreover, the food offered by the room service is delicious in several hotels but one should never expect the cuisines that are advised by the high end hotels. All in all, the cheap hotel Edinburgh options are good for backpackers and tourists who are looking for a cheap place to stay.
